The Eagle has landed! (or at least, we are finally off the buses!)

After breakfast this morning, we piled back into our well grooved seats on our respective buses and kept going. (By the way, morning looks nicer on some than others. Here for your viewing pleasure is some of OUR favorites!

We have marveled at the change of landscape that continued to look more and more wintery and barren. Its amazing to note the remaining snow drifts and leafless trees. Odd how winter still exists up here! We stopped for lunch in a mall in Wisconsin and here is the photo evidence.

We always used our inside voices

...and our best table manners...

...and we never bit off more than we could chew.

We were greeted by some of the locals....

...and did our best to try to fit in:)

Upon entering the Twin Cities, Matt took the role of tour guide and pointed out landmarks and various points of interest. The limitless energy of the students seemed to increase even more if possible!
When we pulled into the resort we are staying at, we were pleasantly surprised with the size and layout. This resort is HUGE! The rooms and lobby are spacious and there is plenty of space here. The resort had taken meticulous care to organize our room assignments and the room key delivery went without a hitch!
Settling into the rooms and showers for all, helped the sponsors to feel normal again, a well welcomed sense of equality with the always fresh and energetic students. A delicious dinner of spaghetti was served by the resort.

What we liked the most was knowing that we did not have to get on the bus after we ate!

After enjoying cookies, as a sign of gratitude the students sang afterwards to the servers.

This was followed by a debrief session in their gym. It was really neat to listen to the students practice in there as the room's acoustics were so unique. Imagine if you will, a two story cube room with solid concrete block walls. This room when filled with basketball games and shouting seems to reverberate in a cacophony of obnoxious sound. However, when the students sang acapella their voices filled the room with harmony and it was so beautiful. It truly is a blessing to be a part of these students ministries and I know that the sponsors are all in agreement that God is going to be honored in these students efforts.
See you in the morning- David and Joseph!
