We started the day off at Minnehaha Academy in Bloomington.
It's a K-5 school that will be closing it's doors at the end of this year. We had the privilege of encouraging their students and faculty in the midst of this difficult transition. Although the children were young (mostly kindergartners), they were fully engaged in the concert.
After the concert, we were privileged to enjoy recess with them and then join them for lunch. Today's "spotlighted" must read is that Amy E. drank at least 4 cartons of milk while we were there.
We left there and headed to the Minneapolis Sculpture Gardens. This is the home of the famous "Spoonbridge and Cherry" sculpture. It was decided this would be the location of our group photo.
(And consequently, many other group photos to follow)

Awww...
The final concert of the day was held at Union Gospel Mission. To be honest, we spent most of the day under spiritual warfare. Satan was really trying to distract us from the work God wanted us to do. We were very aware of this and bathed the concert in prayer.
God was so good and made Himself known to everyone in a very real way. Through the students singing with Maja leading out and Kendall's Faith Story, the Holy Spirit was definitely present. The Director of the mission was overwhelmed with gratitude and said he wouldn't sleep tonight he was so excited! He also noted the significance of the concert end, where all the mission residents asked for another song. He was shocked to hear this as they had never done it before!
We praise God for His faithfulness and thank you for your prayers. We couldn't have made it through without them.
