We are just 2 days away from leaving!!! Can you believe it??? The beginning of the SWAT year, I thought it would take FOREVER for tour to get here. Time has just flown by!
I have heard from several people that they are really fighting the devil this week, so I thought I would use my first post on here to share some words of encouragement with you before we leave. Before going on a missions trip of any kind, Satan seems to do anything possible to make it difficult to focus on God. If we aren't focused on God, we won't do the work He has for us to the fullest extent possible. It's really easy to get distracted before we leave. Everyone is so busy wrapping up school, work, packing, etc. and not always spending the time with God that we should. Make sure that you are doing what Ephesians says- put on the whole armor of God. Everyday take the time to immerse yourself in the Word of God and pray. God is always there and only with Him can you fight the Devil. Remember to pray for each other, your sponsors, Matt, and the people whose lives you are going to be a part of while you are in Minnesota for the next week. You can apply this for the whole trip.
